For croupy coughs which may afflict you,
Make a syrup, bitter-sweet:
One part broth to four parts sugar,
Boil, cool and sip this treat.
If the syrup's cooled still further,
Poured on an oiled, metal sheet,
This then broken in small pieces,
Makes a soothing herbal sweet.
As sacred plant, it's "Eye of Horus"
Also known as Goddess Ma'at,
She who holds the scales of judgment,
Who advances, who does not.
When used for magick divination,
'Twill point to that path which is best,
To keep your soul as light as feather,
And you may pass the scales' test.
