Wreathes

This project is so easy that it embarrasses me to say that I sell these for actual money.

Any non-toxic flower or bud that you can poke the wire through, for example:
  • Rose buds
  • Love in a mist
  • Lion’s tongue
  • Virgin’s bower
  • Pomegranate flowers
  • Juniper berries
  • Wire cutters
  • Needle nosed pliers
  • Narrow ribbons
  • Thin copper wire or florists’ pins

Measure the wire length 2” longer than the circumference of a head and cut. Simply poke the wire through the flowers until it’s full with 1” left on each end. Take the needle nosed pliers and twist ends together. Tie long ribbons over the exposed wire. That’s it!

Rosebuds are especially nice because they dry beautifully and retain their aroma. No rosebushes are safe from me during the blooming season. I carry my bud bag everywhere, and offer to “prune” the bushes. The nice thing is the more you pinch off the buds, the more roses the bushes will produce.
